We purchased a membership to the
San Francisco Zoo. Michael has an uncanny ability to remember where everything is from when he was a child visiting the zoo (I, on the other hand, was completely lost). We watched the penguins being fed. Cute, though not entirely exciting. Her favorite part of the zoo was the African bird aviary where you walk into a large netted area and the birds are free to fly above and around you. We also had fun in the petting zoo. I got suckered by the g
oat who climbs up and eats the food out of the kibble machine before you can even get it in your hand. I vaguely remember learning that lesson before. Of course, we couldn't leave without taking a ride on the Carousel and sharing some pink popcorn. It doesn't really count as a trip to the zoo if you don't eat pink popcorn (in case you didn't know).
