Great Hat!

My friend, Chantelle (who, incidentally, I met at a crochet class many moons ago), made this darling hat for Juliet. Of course, she wants nothing to do with it when I want her to wear it, but she loves it when it is her idea. So cute!!!

Circus Bella

We walked over to Dolores Park to see Circus Bella with Aleesa on a beautiful, hot and sunny day in the city. Their act was fun to watch and it is always nice to have something different going on in the neighborhood, especially when it is a child-friendly "something".

We had lunch at Dolores Park Cafe afterward. The last time I had lunch there Juliet was still a milk-fed lil baby. Now there is a new milk-fed lil baby and Juliet is chomping on bagels. Michael was with us too, but seems to have escaped the photos.

Oh My Gawd!

The other day Juliet said "Oh my Gawd! Oh my Gawd! Oh my Gawd!" - for no apparent reason. Mike and I just looked at each other exchanging the "is she really saying what I think she is saying?" look. She definitely picked that one up from me. Oh dear... I don't know whether to be horrified or proud!

The other thing she was saying for a really long time but seems to have given up is "SHOE-wah" (sure) as her affirmative answer in lieu of "yes" or "okay". She sounded like a girl from Jersey when she said it and it used to crack me up. For a while she had moved on to "O-key" (okay), but now she says "uhh-huwah" (a long drawn out uh-huh). Not nearly as fun...

Drama Queen

Here is my sweet Adeline.

And here is Juliet being a drama queen. I never did figure out what she was suffering over. I think it had something to do with Adeline laying on "her" blanket. Geez.

BFF's

This photo is from August 20th at Chloe's house. Juliet adores Chloe and if she had it her way, would probably have changed our vacation plans. Chloe's family left for vacation and returned just after we left for Tahoe. Right before we got home from Tahoe, Chloe packed up again and headed to France to see her grandparents. All this adds up to several weeks with no "KO-ee". We managed a cyber playdate this morning so the girls got to see each other on the computer (and Delphine and I had a chance to catch up). I don't think Juliet quite knew what to make of seeing her buddy on the computer, but she was certainly excited. I think it will be a while, though, before she is pushing me out of the way to get Chloe on skype. I'm sure she is wondering why we don't just pop on up the street to see her in person (and play with her toys!).

Playdate with Daniela

These are photos from a playdate with cousin Daniela. The girls get along so well and have so much fun together. Soon Adeline will be able to join them. For now she is just an observer.

AcroSports

This is Juliet at her first gymnastics class at AcroSports. Grammy Linda treated her to the session and she loves it. I carry Adeline in the Bjourn during class and she either sleeps or watches the big kids running around.

Truckee River

We went for a hike along the Truckee River on a paved path in Tahoe City. I carried Adeline in the Baby Bjourn, as I often do (which is why she doesn't appear in any of the photos - oops!) and Juliet hitched a ride in the stroller. The weather was a little cooler that day, so it was ideal for taking a stroll.

We had another bee incident when we decided to dine al fresco at the Bridgetender's Tavern. I had to ask the restaurant to box up my lunch because I couldn't deal with the yellow jackets everywhere. For some reason they weren't interested in Mike's burger. figures...

Miniature Golf

We took Juliet for her first game of pee-wee golf. She spent most of the time walking on the greens poking around the installments, while we played. Then, her favorite part: ice cream.

Stellar Jays in Tahoe

We found this blue Stellar Jay feather outside of our condo in Tahoe. As you can see, Juliet likes feathers a lot.

I told her to "show me how it tickles". Too cute.

And here is Miss Adeline lounging on the couch:
