We love Sand Harbor Beach on the North Shore. We lucked out with great weather and the beach is just beautiful. We were happy to find that the water was shallow for a long way out, so Juliet was able to play in the water without us having to worry about a drop off.
The only bummer was the crazy yellow jacket population. I hate bees and the darn things were everywhere. I have since learned that yellow jackets are at their peak during the late summer, so I will aim to hit Tahoe early in the summer from now on. There were even warnings issued by the Nevada Department of Agriculture. We had to eat lunch in the car just to be able to eat in peace. Live and learn...
