Downtown

On occasion, I take Juliet and Adeline for a ride on the "choo-choo train" (i.e. Muni) downtown to steal Britt away from her office at lunchtime. It was on one of these dates that Britt introduced me to the yummy goodness of the Specialty's PB & Stuff sandwich (PB + cranberry sauce + granny smith apple slices + bananas + fresh baked bread = heaven) and now I can't get enough of them.

We were chatting away after we ordered lunch and I forgot to collect my latte. I didn't realize it until we sat down at a table a block away, so I went back afterwards and explained what had happened and the nice gentleman behind the counter whipped me up a new one. I don't know if it would have worked without the stroller, but I was pleased to know that a pick up slip for two sandwiches, that makes no mention of a coffee order, can be used to collect a steaming hot afternoon latte. Glorious day!

Instead of heading straight home when Britt left to get back to the office, we walked up to Union Square to see the windows at Macy's. In the displays, they have kittens and puppies that are up for adoption. Then we walked over to the big tree at Union Square and had hoped to see some ice skaters, but no one was out on the ice yet. I made another attempt to get Juliet to sit on Santa's lap at Macy's, but she still wouldn't go for it. Oh well, maybe next year.

We went to playgroup in the afternoon, then picked up Michael and went to get our tree. Juliet was completely exhausted by this point, but we managed to get a tree and get her home without incident (Adeline slept through the tree selection). I don't think I would have made it myself if it weren't for the latte.
