Lil Hop Along
Juliet reached an unfortunate milestone today: her first cast! After months of worrying about her gait, we were referred to the orthopedic surgery department at UCSF. We saw Dr. Delgado today and after reviewing Juliet's X-rays (which looked normal), she decided to put her in a cast for two weeks so that whatever injury is bothering her can heal. Dr. Delgado suggested that Juliet may have gotten injured back in August and never healed 100%. Now she appears to have sustained a second mild injury that aggravated the first one and here she is, hobbling around again.

Juliet has been a great sport about the whole thing, but I hope that her attitude will last once the novelty of her "special boot" has worn off. After we got home (three hours later!) we took a stroll up to Cliff's Variety to buy some sequins for her cast shoe. I have some sewing to do tonight to make sure that my little angel will agree to wear the shoe tomorrow.
