We went to a
Pirate Wedding this weekend; yes, a Pirate Wedding. The bride, Courtney, is someone who Michael grew up with (as you can guess, she has a great sense of humor). It was a very fun event, not your typical stuffy wedding (and the cake was fantastic!). The ceremony was at Slide Ranch in Muir Beach on a bluff overlooking the Pacific. The view from the ceremony site is unbeatable and the weather was warm and clear. It was a bit of a hike out to the bluff, but worth the trek. All of the attendees were asked to dress in pirate attire and there were lots of pirate-y touches to the event. There was nothing boring about this wedding! In my frazzled state after being late for the ceremony, I didn't manage to get a photo of the three of us, so I will have to track down the one that Linda took. With the triple 7's in the date, I imagine there were lots of weddings going on Saturday. I am glad we were at
this one; although we had one casualty: Little J suffered some road rash on her chin after taking a header on the concrete patio at the reception. Poor munchkin. She handled it well, though. She is a tough kid. I have been putting salve on it day and night hoping that it clears up by the time we visit the pediatrician on Tuesday!
