We went to Sausalito for the 4th. I made a big deal about Michael going in to work early so that J and I could see the parade, but because of the nightmarish parking scene (we drove around for 30 minutes) we missed the entire parade anyway. Once the parade was over, miraculously, there was no longer a parking problem (imagine that). We were able to circle around to the lot and finally get out of the car! We saved a spot in the shade at Dunphy Park, then went to the Lighthouse Cafe for breakfast. It was such a beautiful day. We stayed at the park enjoying the sunshine and music until the late afternoon then headed toward home to get the little one in the car in time for a nap.We are very excited that on the 4th we had a new addition to the family. Juliet's second cousin, Daniela Maria, was born to my cousin, Jona and her husband Paul. Now J has two cousins born on the 4th of July! Little Daniela is not so little at 10 pounds, 4 ounces, so I have to go exchange a couple of the gifts that I bought for her for larger sizes! I thought I would be ever so helpful and buy a newborn sized outfit since Juliet hardly had anything that fit her when she was born. Oops, I don't think she will be needing the newborn size at all.
