The cabin we rented is in Incline Village. The cabin had everything we could have wanted, but it also had one thing we didn't want: stairs. We had a casualty on the first day there because I was unpacking and not paying enough attention to little J, who thinks she knows how to get down stairs now. She has been practicing at Nana's house and at the playground and has gotten too confident. So scary; I felt TERRIBLE. She bounced right back and was totally fine, but everytime I looked at the staircase during that week I experienced a mental instant replay and felt horrible all over again.
Our first full day in Tahoe we went to Burnt Cedar Beach, one of the Incline Village private beaches. It was warm but windy that day, so we spent our time at the kiddie pool hanging out in the sunshine and splashing about. Juliet was looking like quite the cute little beachcomber in her new bathing suit (thank you, Lisa H!).
I was without internet access the entire time we were there, because I couldn't figure out how to access their wireless system. I spent enough time trying to ensure that when I got home I wouldn't be able to print on either of my printers (I still have no idea what I did or how to fix it). In fact, the whole system has been a little screwy since we got back. When will I learn?
